Various media sources reporting this, some citing storm damage, but it does look like it hit something...





..does anyone know what it was in collision with?

Obviously, with all this weather mayhem dredging Lord knows what up from the deep, I did half wonder if that damage looks like it was done by something with....um....teeth....

Honest question, how do they verify the repair on something that large?

I'm guessing it'll be plated and welded? So how do they structurally test that she's still seaworthy? Anyone know?

I find big engineering like ships fascinating.

According to the Marine Accident Investigation Branch:

It was a collision between a ro-ro cargo vessel and a car carrier in the approaches to the River Humber on 3/12/2015.

what sort of course was the city of rotterdam on?
If it didnt hit the roro it would have taken out the sea wall
