Discussion
Number of gatsos - 2
number of speeders caught (it says so on the sign) 9472
Revenue generated £568,000

First one involved a jack-knifed caravan - an old couple going to the coast - braked hard for the camera
Second one this morning - lorry.

You can't say that the cameras caused these accidents but you can say that they failed to prevent them. Ergo, cameras in this case have had no impact on road safety and are therefore sited purely for revenue in this case!

Nah, that's not right. I used to live in north lincolnshire and work in Leeds. There were smashes at Ferrybridge every other day. Always have been.
There certainly weren't 0 accidents there before the cameras, and I'd be amazed if there'd only been 2 since them.

statistics!
you can make them say what you like.
0 smashes the 10 minutes before the cameras went up,
or 10 years, or whatever you like.
Whatever looks the most impressive.
Who is it that plays the same game these days......??
Hmm.
Huh? So are you saying that you just made the numbers up so you could claim the Gatsos caused the two accidents you saw? Well it's creative, I'll give you that!
But seriously, have you been at the Toilet Duck mate?
