Curry near Donington Park

Gents, can anyone recommend a decent Indian nearish Donington Park?

It's the Mission Motorsport Christmas party on Wednesday and a bunch of us are staying at the Travelodge next to Donington Park on Thurs eve before our big Troops on Track trackday at Donny on Friday.

We'll all be in complete st state on Thurs night in need of some Cobra and madras medicine.

Don't mind driving up to 20 mins from the track for somewhere decent which I guess means Derby or Nottingham max.

Mount Gurkha in Loughborough is pretty good. Should be doable in 20 minutes.

Whenever I'm in Nottingham I go to the Laguna Tandoori for dinner at least once.

Been going there since the mid '90s - always really good.

To be fair though, you are pretty spoit for choice in Nottingham, some excellent places for "Indian" food.

Head into ny of the big 3 cities qnd youlbe fine. leicester has been awarded the "curry capital" more the once, and melton road is host to lots of curry houses

Out of India in Shepshed is pretty good. Been the 'local' when staying with family near Donington for many years. Go south on the M1 for one junction (23a-23), head towards Shepshed/Ashby on the A512 and it's just past the first significant traffic light controlled junction. 10-15 minutes.
