By compressor do you mean a PD type supercharger, centripetal supercharger or a turbo? Also in what configuration of these would you be looking to run?

The LS7 option would be lighter, simpler and can still make mega power. However a supercharged setup has more 'coolness'! smile

Super chargers add weight, heat and complexity to a track orientated car.

N/a LS 7 would be my choice.

thanks.
I was thinking of installing a simple supercharger with belt (no turbo) at low pressure (0.45BAR?)

Now I have the intake manifolds enlarged ls3, ECU Tuning reprogrammed ,COMP-CAM +accesories for 7200rpm hardly track (problems keeping the minimum 1000rpm)biggrin, collectors free straight

gearbox g50 / 53 turbo and cv-joints original factory
I thought to reach 600cv ??
about 5000e to spend....

Which supercharger are you looking at? The only GM options are the LS9 (eaton 2300 supercharger) or the LSA (eaton 1900 supercharger). You could look at the eldbrock heartbeat or magnuson heartbeat superchargers also. ALL of these are front feed systems though!

If you want a new rear feed front drive setup you need the whipple 4.0 unit as used by the Ultima factory on the EVO.

There was a earlier version of the magnuson blower that is front drive and rear fed, but not sure if you would be able to get one.

Gearbox and cv joints should be ok if they're in good condition

Stefano a crate LS7 is $12,500 in the States at that price how much are you really going to save by buying a used motor? Then if you really want some value look at the LS3 E rod motor which has a matching ECU for $7500. Note the LS7 comes with a dry sump pan but not the scavenge pump, the LS3 is wet sump so you need a pan and pump. Lee

You guys are spoilt in the States! By the time it's shipped and all taxes paid in the UK, a crate Ls7 is over £11.5k including ecu - $17.1k in your money. You guys would probably get a nice 630hp LS7 for that, perhaps more.

How much power do you want? If it's below 650 bhp it's probably easier with the LS7.

Or you can build a 427 using a non ls7 block and fit it with ls7 heads. It's a cheaper option.

You could use an LS7 and add nitrous.....

There will be very few moments you will need all the power.

You could always cut more holes in the clamshell to offer better cooling AND help reduce the weight! Lol wink

thanks for all for info.
As I'm orientating a LS7.....

MACG:how many HP you have now?

Today 600 hp in track-day is just sufficient (gt3, nissan gtr, f458...);)
