Hi all, just a question on a 360 F1 2001.

Can "PIS" be set on sd2 reader, the numbers on my box is 189542. The reason I ask is at last service I asked the guys to see where it was ie 4mm 5mm so on, they said it's none adjustable when they used sd2. Clutch had around 73 present left.

Reason I ask is I had it not wanting to go into reverse on a hot day and thought this would help with the adjustment.

Thanks in advance

Yes, PIS is adjustable on your unit. One of the early ones though.

TCU number 189542 does have the ability to adjust the PIS - it was the first of the TCUs to do so. Perhaps your techs used the wrong protocols on the SD2 to interrogate it.

In any case they would have been able to provide you with your PIS reading as even the early (non-PIS-adjustable) TCUs would report the PIS in mm.

If the tech is skilled enough, then the PIS can be set on the early TCUs by altering other parameters before using the auto-PIS function.
