So, today I took the plunge, and put a deposit down on a 488 Spider. Magical car. The wait is going to kill me, so I'm looking at options on a used 458 Spider to tide me over. I've never considered red before, but there's one with decent spec available immediately.

What colour combination would you choose, if you had free choice? Would red float your boat, or would you stay clear?

As you will not be keeping the car very long I would say Resale Red is a must !

others can chip in better with options, but shields, seats, LED steering wheel ? the normal answers.

Horrible and you'll be changing it in a few weeks (I'll offer you top dollar for it).

Wow, that's lovely F355GTS!

The quandary now boils down to red from the 488 supplying dealer, or look elsewhere - I've seen both a white and a black that I like the look of.

Do any of you have opinions on wrapping, as that's a possibility on the red one, should I run it and the colour not settle with me.

Personal choice but temporarily I'd go red with cream (easier to sell on) and for me, I'd have a dark blue or black with cream or tan for keeps.

Nice dilemma to have.

I've been looking at 458s a lot lately. For me it would be:

Scud Red/black wheels/yellow calipers/black interior

or

Nero Daytona/black wheels/yellow calipers/black interior. (I have an Aston V12VS in Nero Daytona in this spec, so am a bit biased).

It's very much looking like a choice between......

Rosso Corso / Nero - lots of carbon
White / Nero - with Alutex driver zone and LED's

Awaiting pictures on the Alutex interior - do any of you have strong opinions on that either way?

Thin I'd go with the red but it is very personal but be wary of a car without LED's it'll be harder to sell

Thanks - the red also has the LED's with carbon, rather than aulutex.

Red wins the day. 2015 458 Spider. Thanks to all for your help. A week of waiting now to take delivery, as I'm away this next week. It'll make a lovely warm up for the 488 Spider when it eventually arrives.
