Heat shielding, anyone fitted this?

It really needs to continue further towards the front to shield the manifolds imho.

I haven't used that stuff but I did stick the reflective cloth and heat tape all down the transmission tunnel when I had the gearbox out last time. It did make quite a difference. Its no where near as hot in the cabin with the roof on now. I stuck it to the fibreglass around the chassis as best I could.

That kit does look very effective but I'm just wondering if the heat actually gets displaced and away by the air rushing by so by adding that would you not run a hotter gearbox clutch area?
maybe very little air gets through so then it's a nice mod which should help keep the chassis area there cooler so stiffer,,,, mmm, that's got to be a very good thing when you've got a 5.5 engine trying to twist you out and away

FWIW, i did the same as boosted when i changed the clutch this spring. Used a combination of spray adhesive and pop-rivets through large did washers to hold it in place and it has made a big difference. In summer, especially in traffic, left leg no longer gets too hot. Mrs LWT noticed the improvement too.
