Noticed this article ealier. Typical of the pointless, interfering Scottish Executive. There is undoubtedly problem with anti-social behaviour in Scotland. Part of this can be attributed to drink, so let's ban one brand of 'wine'. Ok so that'll make it alright will it? If only life was that simple. I'm fairly certain there are other varieties of alcoholic drink available to your average ned/jaikey. Why not ban white cider or supermarket vodka? Why is the solution to everything is to ban it?

I really hope that the makers of Buckfast wine mount a successful legal challenge to this meddlesome minister.

Also, Wee Missus Jamieson has also happily stated that [in relation to the expansion of scams in Scotland]:

'As the programme grows more areas will be included where cameras were already operated by the police in conjunction with the roads authorities. Sites will also be set up where new problems emerge'

New problems. Hmm, I'd love to see their criteria for that. They've got to pay for that Parliament Building somehow.

Looks like another example of the "do something ....anything!" approach to problem solving. It makes speed cameras look almost sane.

Some of these youths are cleverer than you think. I bet after a few hours of not being able to get that brand of alcoholic beverage, they may just pick......................another.

Justice Minister read stupid, naive, post menapausal, upper middle class, ineffective, would be American self help author.

This is utterly laughable.

You can just see the young people "Oh well, can't buy THAT stuff anymore, well we'll all become teetotal overnight"

This is exactly what is wrong with this moronic Government. They act without the slightest thought, make up new rules on the fly which (i) the poor BiB have to try and enforce and (ii) annoys the public because of the stupidity.

Here, we now have Dial-a-Yob. Don't like some local oik - now you can ring up and whinge anonymously, and doubtless if we get enough we'll get an ASBO on him.

Of course, the chances of it being used for personal vendettas are nil.

Here's an idea.

(1) Get rid of all this *DRIVEL*.
(2) Let the Police do their job.
(3) Bash very hard the tiny number of Cops who cheat/corrupt etc.
