Not had a good look at this one as I only walked past the showroom the other weekend but, for the price, it seemed clean enough from a distance, (usual disclaimer - not connected to dealer, owner, etc, etc).

Lot of car for the money! Make sure you get pre-purchase inspection even if you buy from a dealer.

Thank god I didn't put my £40K into a similar 993TT 18 months ago!

May not be of help, but if it is price that attracts you to a LHD car rather than the fact that the pedals are better placed and it is how Porsche intended them to be made

There is a 90k miles Rhd arena turbo apparently the Porsche press car,,,this is on Autotrader for low 30's, not sure if it comes with the plate though. If it does this is a fantastic buy.

There are plenty more advertised in Top Marques too.

As long as they renewed the clutch, gearbox, tyres and brakes when that nice Mr Sutcliffe returned the car after testing

I was going to mention the 911 HUL one. I've taken my finger off the pulse reagding the where abouts of all the 993TT's for sale, but if I come across one, I'll post immediately!
The chance of a RHD for only £33K seems too good to be true. So what if the clutch needs replacing soon? Clutches, like us are closer to death every day!

Oh nearly forgot to mention, apparently there were several 911 HUL's as I spoke to one of the tech's who worked for reading and he said that they all got broken (clutches, gearboxes and drive shafts) during magazine testing.

On a sensible note, my mate Mark bought a 993 Turbo with 90,000 miles on for low £30K just recently. He posts here sometimes (Bod911), but he is away skiing for a few weeks at the moment so he won't have seen this thread.

He has had to change both turbos, get a top end rebuild, new discs and pads........in other words, quite a few quid.

You need to look at the maths. If a 90,000 mile 993 Turbo that needs work ends up standing you at 40 grand in total after the work is done, you might not get your money back. Just a thought.

There is another story that needs to be relayed here though... a guy on rennlist with an early 993 Turbo who did over 100 miles a day on his californian commute.

Think the first major maintenance he needed was a clutch at 165k miles!

Makes you think eh?

There was a red car with about 50K miles(IRC) on EBAY recently.......a PHer bought it and gave about 33K, apparantly a RHD car..in my view that was very cheap though

I think that if (sorry when!) I own one of these cars I won't be too worried about getting my money back - I simply wouldn't sell it!

If a car requires a rebuild then I'd just spend the five grand or whatever and get it done. It only costs the same as buying a second hand 'shopping car' after all, and you could virtually run the Porsche as a weekend car for life.
