Is this an RMS failure?

I have a 996 C2 which is 2 years old and has covered 26000 miles. Recently I have noticed a small amount of oil on the garage floor. It appears to be coming from the right side of the engine and not the middle. I am told RMS failures show leaks from the middle. Before I take it into my Porsche Dealer I would be grateful to have an opinion on RMS failures and where such oil leaks come from.

Yes, RMS leaks will show dead-center, yours could be a number of otherthings, perhaps even something as simple as a hose loose/leaking.

FYI, in this thread there is a picture of an RMS leak on a Boxster - the Boxster and 996 engines are identical, so the same leak on a 996 should look similar.
