Folks, my 7 month old daughter will soon out grow her rear-facing baby seat, so it's time to buy something else.

Having searched through previous threads it seems the "Recaro Start" is the best option for the Cerbera, but I am confused. Many threads mention using the Recaro Start from between 7-9 months (i.e. when the baby can sit up and hold his/her kneck sufficiently well), however Recaros own website states the Recaro Start is suitable from "15kg-36kg" i.e. "3.5 years to 12 years".

See www.recaro-seats.co.uk/order.asp?Page=/childsafety.asp§ion=1&subsection=4&Price=0&Start=1&Keyword=&SearchDescription=&ListMake=&ListModel=&product=61

So which is it: 7-9 months or 3.5 years?

Thanks,
Gixxer

No worries Matt. I should have explained, I didn't use the rear facing baby seat in the Cerb as all the advice I read through other threads was that it wasn't safe/advisable to do so. Luckily we have another car for that.

There are extra bits you can buy for the Recaro Start that allow it to take younger infants, cushions, bumpers, neck pillow and lateral head restraint, quite a good comercial wheeze!
Anyway my little girl has been inthe seat from 9 months and does OK!

Recaro start pro - comes with a safety cushion which is good for little uns, mine is 13 months, until they are big enough to use the seat belt which is about 15kg I think, more burgers, nanas and everything else I can feed him and he's only 13 months !!
