Hibernate on the LAN problem

Can anyone help, When a PC goes into hibernate does it loose its IP address or do anything on the LAN??
Reason i ask is have PC's running out the back of IP phones, all works fine, good speech quality etc.
When the PC's go into hibernate phone reboots, almost as though PC is shutting down layer 2 switch port...

Any Ideas ???

If DCHP, then unless its getting to lease renewal time (and these times fail me for the moment), then no.

If they are static IPs, then never.
