Apple Pie Moonshine

Had a bit of an international food and drink festival as part of the work Christmas party last night, and the American's had Apple Pie Moonshine on the go. Wow. Anyone tried it? I need to make some!
A bit of googling has turned up several recipies, eg http://www.bakedbyrachel.com/apple-pie-moonshine-r... and most of them seem to use Everclear Grain Alcohol, which appears to be basically ethanol! Would I be right in thinking you can't buy that in the UK? Some recipes suggest using a strong Vodka instead, how strong do they go though?

Ive had a couple of bottles of this before, dont think you will find much stronger
