Guys, this may have been covered before so apologies in advance.

I'm in the process of sorting out insurance, being over 75k I'm running into the tracker problem & the usual insistence on the expensive OPC version for the warranty.

Can anyone suggest companies who might not require a tracker?

Many thanks

Try Matt Warner at Alan Thomas, 01202 754915 he is extremely helpful. He has insured 4 cars for me via Hiscox Insurance. Honestly cannot fault them!

NFU - £400 for me. Admiral wanted £700. Only 1.25% charge for paying by monthly DD. Tel: 08000720168

Thanks so far, I'll give them all a try.

Hadn't thought of the NFU, I use them for business insurance- l never even thought of them! In the past they've always been way out for private cars.

I've heard differing opinions about Admiral on here, just tried them online but the GT4 isn't listed . I'll have to be sociable and pick up the phone!

Insured mine with Aviva Distinct through A-Plan, was the most competitive quote by miles! had to install a tracker, didn't go with the Porsche VTS product as it's over 1k for a tracker! vomit

I couldn't get any sense out of Porsche insurance when i picked up my £77K GT4 due to no tracker etc.In the end went with Admiral Multicar,no hassle and they pay out on the market value of the car if the worse happens.Since my GT4 was an additional car i had 0% no claims bonus to carry forward and came to £517,unfortunately they do not cover track use so next year i might switch to a specialized insurer.I also use NFU insurance for my business and am flabbergasted that they cover it for £400 as car quotes i have had from them in the past have been way out!.

My car came in at £71k, best quote was £350. Went with Marsh/Porsche to include 2 x track days £520.

Get that in writing, many have suggested that isn't the case.
