Anyone else been trying to book this crossing for the annual pilgrimage. Other years it`s been early December or even mid November. No online or direct booking available...................................could it be that they might just be waiting for the draw for the Euro `16 to inflate their prices (again).
Come on DFDS we want to spend our money.

prices probably won't be announced until New Year after new service contract starts.....

http://www.ournewhaven.org.uk/page/newhaven-dieppe...

the French have subsidised this route for the last few years, from memory 10-12 million euros per year? to safegaurd French jobs in Dieppe region and at the French owned/run port of Newhaven...bet few people realised this?

Been bothering LD lines about booking. They say call back middle of January. Had an email from Aferry and have just booked online through them a lot cheaper than direct with LD lines. So this is just heads up either for Le Mans or the football.

I booked my ferry crossing already months ago, from Plymouth not on the same route I know.Leave Wednesday night off the following morning, just under a three hour drive to the track side camp site. We booked a cabin both each way as well.

Most people will have already, done the same as next month prices go up.

Hold fire on any booking with Aferry. There seems to be a problem with my booking that needs resolving.

Speaking with one of the ticket agents, I was told "Newhaven - Dieppe crossing may not be in service in June 2016".

Newhaven to Dieppe is now on the LD Lines pages for £83, same price as Aferry. The price is non-refundable which is a bit of a problem as I won't know if I'm going until February or March.

Does anyone know how much prices tend to go up? Is it worth taking a punt at this price?

I can assure you it will, in fact due to the problems in Calais its booming - only downside is the extra traffic trying to get to and from the A27.
