I have been suffering a bit with the drivers side seat belt on my 987 being lazy to retract. I found a couple of suggestions on the net to spray the belt with silicon. With some scepticism I sprayed the area that would be first to disappear through the seat belt guide when released with silicon. Just coated about 12" of the webbing and dried off with a paper towel.

Sorted - retracts like a new one.

Yep.

Found a bit of a snagette though, the silicon pongs a bit. I have washed the belt now with bucket of water and clothes wash capsule thingy. Dried with a hair dryer and all good.

I'm guessing you think Silicon Valley is a very slippery place.
