anyone experimented with rear brake configurations. I'm considering the following. On the rear two granada calipers each side mounted on both sets of lugs on cosworth vented disc. I'm hoping this will work well with the ap 5000 front calipers with 295m discs. Spoken to some helpfull guys at Ap and hispec. Does anyone know the bores / diameters of the standard master cylinders?
IIFC most people bias the brakes towards the rear, so perhaps you should stick the bigger disk there...
alternativly, I was considering using a larger 6 pot disc/caliper on the rears, and the normal 4 pot on the front... then I'd mount the handbrake calipers on the front as well.... hmmm could have some fun that way ;-)

I've done a complete mathematical analysis of the brake system for the AP brakes.
The brake bias for full performance in a high G stop must be heavily forward biased. In a theoretical 1G stop the dynamic weight distribution is 60% front/40% rear. Therefore for this decelleration rate the braking ratio a little less on the rear so that the rears do not lock before the front.
Whatever the brake system is (caliper, rotor, cylinder, tyre etc sizes) this same ratio must be preserved.

sorry it was 60/40 towards the front... that's what happens when you read the forum at midnight after a few pints !
One of the track cars (GTR) uses a 6 pot with a larger caliper on the front...
Some of the guys install a brake bias valve, which makes things quite easy to change... just need a few friends with a digicam, and a nice straight piece of road...
