So I haven't a clue about watches.

The better half wants a new watch, so off to bluewater we trotted. Initially a tag link was the watch she wanted but in the end liked the look of the Raymond Weil noemia.

Are they any good ?

Not great, but they are ok, when it comes to watches men and women tend to look at them in different lights

If she wants the RW, then that's what she wants, on a par with lower end TH, so all good within that price bracket.
I'm sure others will be along soon, telling you to buy X or Y as it's a better watch for the money.
But (in general) women couldn't care less about build quality, engineering etc, it's the looks / brand that sells.

That's why that absolute tat Michael Kors sells so well

Possibly a relief. Convince her that a Speedmaster looks cool and chic on a woman's wrist due to its size. Also mention the moon and space (ISS thing yesterday). She'll get pissed off with it after a month from having to wind it everyday and thus you have a new watch in February.
