350i short injector pipes
Discussion
Some advice please.
I've just changed the valley gasket and thought it would be sensible to change all flexible fuel pipes including the short ones from the fuel rail to the injectors as there were signs of weeping. The old ones finally came off the top of the injectors and were a real b**** to remove.
Do the replacements just push on to the injectors (and into the cup washer) and if so, will this provide a leak proof seal?

you on about these short rubber bits?
from memory it pushes on and has some sort of one way feel to the internal tube (which is why is easier to push on and very difficult to pull off - normally need to cut off)
these were my jag injectors being cleaned off my 420SE, they had normal fuel clips top and bottom
hope it helps

You MUST put a clamp on both ends of the short pipe if you replace it; the ferrules are designed to be crimped on by a dedicated machine so it's not sufficient to buy the loose ferrule and not use the machine to crimp them on.
mine just had normal fuel clips top and bottom as fitted by Mark Adams when he remapped the old girlbest pic I got when I was trying to read the injector part number lol
Thanks for the responses guys.
I did wonder if they had to be pressed on as they were so difficult to remove.
I'll check out Mr Injector on ebay, the kit sounds better than the one I bought from Rimmers which was just a length of hose and some clips!
