noticed an interesting thing am today on my mk2 tuscan S

I am very good about not reving the car until the oil temp is up.

for the first time today I reved the engine to just over 4000 whilst still cold and the red change up lights came on. Had to try it again and the light definatley comes on at 4000 rpm, once warmed up goes back to 6000.

is this a new thing, there is nothing in the mk1 manuel I currently have and I have still not got my mk2 manuel

honest I always keep revs down until oil warmed up as recommended, had the car nearly 4 months now and only noticed this for the first time. Had to pull away from a blue/white propeller who was being an Ar$e, I always let them go with a "only cos I let you" smirk but on this occation it was safer to pull forward.

Cant imaging that a single episode means I have to book that hotel in blackpool.

Havn't got my kickplates either. Also the plastic bits at sides windscreen have both cone unstuck. Will gule them back on myself. appart from that I love the car, it feels solid and generally better built than the mk1, looks great, I even like the pod.

Performance wise it seems much better "controlled" than the mk 1 the power seems to feed in more gradually and progressivly and again with the brakes. Handles better but I am comparing a mk1 to a mk2 S. The back end sticks a lot better than S6 TVR which I had as a courtesey whilst it had it's first service
