I'm toying with the idea of getting this done for the A2DP and steering wheel controls; it also lists it as being compatible with Siri/Cortana etc. but mine already works fine with that as long as I say "call phone name" first.

I'm assuming this MY is more expensive because they have to replace the media/aircon screen thing too, does anyone know if that actually includes the plastic screen itself or just the innards? My screen has a couple of scratches on it which I was going to get someone to try and buff out, but if it gets replaced as part of this upgrade then there's not much point.

Anyone had it done? Hows the quality / volume on the A2DP in general for those that already have it?

Am also interested in this - does anyone have any idea of a cost to get it fitted in the UK? I've only seen prices in the US, and the amount seems to vary wildly.

I think it's about £1300-1500 on MY07 because the headunit control thingy needs replacing too, significantly cheaper on later cars. Parts alone are around £900 for MY07 ( http://www.astonstore.co.uk/product/BLUETOOTH_UPGR... )

Group buy? biggrin

Its £2,500 from the main dealer and as I understand the screen is also upgraded and you get a Garmin out of it. I have looked into it but am trying to avoid it if I can as its quite a high cost I would not get back when I sell

Sure you're talking about the same thing? They don't touch the satnav with the BT upgrade as far as I know, just the audio/climate control screen thing to the version that has "external" inputs.

Possibly, the version I'm talking about is for cars that already have voice activated BT, but are prior to MY08 when the audio screen changed.

I have voice activated BT also so not too sure.... It seems to me like you always get a different opinion depending on what dealer / car audio fitter you talk to. As the summer starts to draw in I will probably end up looking at this again so if you havent upgraded by then I will keep you posted
