In accordance to the previous thread 'Jap Convert we'll see' picked up my Mk2 today from County Cheltenham. Long story but in brief the TVR specialist (lovely chap)had been taken into hospital whilst decorating my new car with red love heart balloons (organised by the fiancee !!). When we arrived we were told the news and the hand over completed by a very embarrassed 'non-TVR' salesman. No probs we though, hand-book is in the boot, but when we got home its the book for the Mk 1 !!!!! So, we now have a metal key, a hand-phob and some immobiliser 'thingy' to stick somewhere but hey.........got it started and stopped somehow !! Few things though..........indicator fell right down but re-positioned easily, but is it normal for the lights to flash on the central door lock knob when the car is locked and immobilised ? Most of the bits we have figured out but there are 3 dials A, B and C on the dash which we dont know what they do ? Any ideas ? Anyone with source for the Mk2 handbook would be welcome . Thanks .

Welcome John and congrats
Firstly I think all of us recent owners are in the same boat re handbook. At least I havent heard of anyone with a MK2 one yet. The A B C knobs are in fact V B C (yes I too had to be told). They stand for volume,(warning beeps handbrake etc), brightness, and contrast of the centre pod display. Yes the interior lights up like a Christmas tree when you set the alarm. Scared me at first, but actually looks pretty cool when you park up at night. They do go off after a while when everything is set and she is ready for bed.
Watch that indicator. See my thread above at top of page. If you have any queries re the immobiliser or anything else, feel free to email me via my profile.
Good luck and take it very easy to start with. Follow warm up procedures to the letter, and keep revs down until after 1st service.

Thanks very helpful. Quite a car to get to know !! I seem to have a high pitched whine from the front when the car idles and was wondering if thats normal ? Also I'm taking the advice and being careful with the revs but I cant see an oil temp reading which makes it difficult !!! Thanks for all the info

Dont know about high pitched whine but oil temp is certainly on more than one page of the pod display. Do you know how to scroll through pages by using the two buttons on the reverse of the steering wheel ?
