Hi I was pondering in the thoughts of will the new Range Rover supercharger engine fit into the Griffith ?

The height should not be a problem with your car Steve and the range rover engine will go with the 4x4 image http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/smilies.htm#

Why bother when there is a proven solution with an LS3?

Elliot if I wanted a yanky I would have brought a corvett?
And keeping it rover based would be cool and the supercharged lump is half the cost :-)
And I can mate the gearbox without forking out a even more changing it ?

The AJV8 is a DOHC unit so very tall and very wide. Plus the SC version is even longer than the NA.

I don't think there is any modern DOHC v8 that will fit in a TVR chassis without a lot of chopping.

Other than an LS the only obvious alternative is the SOHC Merc V8 which is actually smaller than the RV8 and NA will give well over 400 bhp.

I guess that one is a no gower then ! Had the opportunity offered a cheap lump with 45k miles for less than 2.5k think I will stick to the bolt on turbo option then .

How is the Range Rover(Jaguar)V8 going to bolt onto your existing gearbox? The thing is massive as noted above.
Stick to a Rover V8 or put a LS3/7/9 in it.

You would be amazed what I can do with a Cnc cutter some alloy a lathe and a Tig welder here ;-) but as the lump is massive I will pass it by !

This

Nearly all OHC engines are to wide to fit in the standard chassis

Ford/Volvo/Yamaha/nobles V8 B8444S Would fit though
