Just out of interest, who else on here has a 4.5 Cerb with the original early headlights? How many left?

Me too, same colour as well near enough, though mine's a lot less clean than that.

What do we win?

Just look so much better with those lights, it suits the lines of the car perfectly.

Has anybody ever looked at converting the front end back to "original".

My perfect Cerb would be post year 2000 to get the digital odometer (had it in my second Chim and it just felt so much better and more modern behind the wheel, naff I know), the slanted rear plate but still original lights. Which probably means an S6 Cerb.

I have a Tuscan conversion done on mine (bought like it) but I do prefer the round lights.

I love the 'classic' lights as below.
To me they are just an integral part of the design of the car, imho too radical changes to single projectors don't seem to fit the curvy lines as well.
Some of the other conversions to Lupo headlights and especially the yellow one with perspex covers (Tamora lights?) look great though.

Cheers
H.

I don't really mind either, if pushed my preference is for the classic single ones. One thing I'm not so keen on though is changing one for the other, leave them as they came out of the factory IMHO.

The thing is they are both stunningly beautiful so it's a win win.

Original lights, but fitted with CREE XLamp MTG2 LEDs, very good when dipped, slightly disappointing on full beam. Also much less stress on the Cerb's fragile electrics.

Just curious: Why is this a 4.5 specific thread? Do the other models have different lights?

I put this as early 4.5 cars, is out of interest to see roughly how many are remaining with the standard front lights.
Of course there are many Cerbs with them lights, but I'm only interested in finding numbers out there with the original 4.5 engine (guess less produced) .

Lupos fitted to a 4.2 Cerbera
Not original look but freshens up the front end, and a clear beam ( Osram H4 night breaker bulbs also fitted)
Sorry , poor picture

Did you have to cut the surrounds to make them fit or are they a straight swap?

Yep cut the surrounds , mainly lower edge - centre area about 2"

Fitting the Lupos is all about getting them up in the top of the wing without cutting too much out
Few Brackets made
