Hoping some here can help recommend a sea freight agent or company that can quote to ship a 30ft shipping container which does not carry a valid CSC label.

I've been told this is possible but there will probably be a premium to pay.

The container is holding a radio transmitter and I need it shipped from Helsinki to a port in Texas.

Any help or advice appreciated as a couple of shipping agents I've corresponded with have not been able to help.

Thanks.

Phil

The one I can think of is Atlantic Container Line, who have a roll on/roll off service that sails from Liverpool to the USA weekly.

If it can be moved safely on the road it should be good to go.

Try Paul Houston at Pinnacle frieght in Liecester. I use them every week and they're very good.

Try another Paul at http://www.advanceforwarding.co.uk/ who may also be able to pack the item for you. They are based near Derby.

Thank you gentlemen.

It's located on Finnish military land but we have access and the location is good enough for a container truck to lift it on board to transport to the port which is fairly local.

Rich,

Packing not required.

The container has a 50,000 watt broadcast transmitter sitting inside wink

Thanks again.

Phil

Can you not repack into a 20/40ft container with the correct certification - much easier to process and i would guess cheaper.

Richard @ Transglobal- 01384 471608. We use them for at least 4 containers a week worldwide and airfreight across the world, including some unusual stuff like yours. Tell him Danny passed his number on if you call.

Hi Danny,

I'm thinking you may be right regarding having the equipment repacked.

Thank you for the contact.
