Hi, I have a under floor heating system in our caravan. It has an electric element 240v and a 12volt circulation pump with approx. 22mm pipes.
The circulation pump has failed and the list price is £400 from Alde!
My question is would a household 240volt circulation pump do the job?
Thanks
mick

You could probably do it with a Sonos, they appear to do everything else so why not?

If the feed to the pump is 12v then I very much doubt a 240v domestic pump would work. Are the majority of caravan electric not 12v so that they can run from a battery? I in again it has a 12v pump so that when you don't have electric hookup you can circulate the UFH from the battery and heat it using gas (as opposed to electric element?)

The caravan has mains and is not used for touring so I could just wire a domestic pump?

Don't see why you couldn't wire a 240v pump in. The issue maybe the control voltage - I.e what is telling the pump to run? Is the run signal sent in 12v? If so you would also need a relay or similar to swap control voltage from 12 to 240v
