Has someone got the decimal point in the wrong place or have I gone to sleep and woken up on a different planet?

This is a different T1 to the one that only reached the lower end of the £60-70k guide at auction last month.

The T2 went unsold in that auction, but there's one at the same white-studio premium-price dealer.

Do the panel gaps look a little ropey round the front end (check around the headlights, at the base of the A-pillar?) Or were all French cars a little 'wonky' in that era?

Both this one and the T2 at the same dealer look to be fine original spec. examples. To be honest, the 10 grand dearer T1 looks to be the "better" buy. It's twice as rare as the T2 and in the absolute Holy Grail colour scheme of Olympic blue / blue, as well as lower miles. This makes it a real find for a wealthy collector worldwide. T1s like that rarely come on the market (especially with the original funky but brittle steering wheel), so I would expect more interest in that car.

The T2 is also lovely, but I prefer the body-coloured sills etc., rather than the black ones. There is much greater availability in T2s, so I doubt they will get anywhere near the 80 grand asking price. I sold mine for about 12K back in 2008.

I had much the same reaction when one sold at Goodwood 73rd MM auction for £60k+, then I saw the Audi Quattro Sport had made almost 5 times that yikes

Well, if you think that's a crazy amount for a lurid interior, you need to try harder! What about this? Can't decide between snakeskin, tartan, cream leather and wood? Well worry no more! Have them all. Guess the price, then click the link....

That carpet should be folded up on the back shelf of a Moggy Minor.

How many of them do you get for £90k then - I can only see one in the advert.

My dad has a similar rug, on the back seat of his Moggy tongue out
