When I drove a loan Boxster this summer, I thought it would be nice if the roof was a one-touch operation, especially when dropping it from the remote. It seems that I'm not the only one to thinks this as there is at least one plug-in module on the market that does just this. Has anyone on here done the mod (it literally appears to be a "one relay out/new relay in" job)? Are there any issues I should be aware of?

I Must be nuts......the car hasn't even been built yet and I'm modifying it already!!! wink

Presumably you are talking 981 if not built yet, but this mod has been around for a long time and I have had a SmartTop for my 2 x 986 for some time now. Does what it says on the tin.

Is there a hack for the 987 to get a single click open/close?

Thanks for the reply. You are correct....981 GTS with all the bells and whistles! I assume there are no "for God's sake don't do that.....it causes xxxxx" issues I need to be aware of?

I can't say for 981 but on the 986 you still have the speed limit restriction functions and also some form of emergency stop like a window so if it senses an obstruction it stops. Most of the other solder-in type hacks don't have these features.
