I'm looking for some liquid aminos and the UK supply seems to have all but dried up. Is there a reason why they're so hard to get these days? (Other than the godawful taste which I quite like)
I always used to take a spoonful before exercise and I was noticeably stronger or had better endurance. I've just started getting back in shape and without them I'm nowhere near as on it as I should be
Anyone know a reliable UK supplier of decent liquid amino?

I assume you're referring to BCAA's?
Nothing wrong with downing some water with them, prior to gym.
I've only ever used BCAA+ tabs from MyProtein just before gym, or on occasion, the powder in a large bottle of water whilst I'm working out.
Not sure I've seen liquid aminos before. I guess they're a little bit more pricey?

I think so, but I'm a bit old skool and I've always taken amino acids in liquid form. I tried them in tablet form once, but they didn't seem to give me the same 'power up' feeling.
Maybe there are better tablets about these days, do they give you a push if you take them immediately pre-exercise?

I only take them as a PT suggested them as he saw how much cardio I liked to do so don't want to negate muscle mass toooo much, which seems to be working afaict.
Master Winston, if you want more of a 'push', are you not taking creatine?! If not why not!!!
ETA - maybe there was some caffeine or some such ingredient in the liquid aminos you used to take Winston?

Definitely not placebo, I've tried a few brands over the years and I can always feel a difference. Doesn't seem to happen with any other supplement which is why I like them.
I think it's probably the taste, it's definitely an acquired one...
still doesn't rule out placebo effect ... I think it's probably the taste, it's definitely an acquired one...
but then again proper science is often beaten by broscience when it comes to the gym ...
