Best Car Battery Power Booster Jump Starter Kit
Discussion
Well it's finally happened...my battery has died. It came back from the dealer's last Friday and I haven’t been out for a drive since then. Went to go for a drive, unlocked the car, which was fine. Put my key in the ignition and the power fold mirrors opened a fraction and stopped...now that's not good...
Turned the key the red start light came on and only the yellow engine light on the dash. Press the start button and nothing!
Never happened to me before in nearly 3 years, it would have been nice if the dealer had plugged in the trickle charger while they had it!!
Anyway, called Aston assist and the technician wasn't avaliable tonight. Just as well as I've read the car would need a good 15 minutes sat running then a good 30 miles of driving to get the battery charged. The last thing I would want is to have to turn the lights on an windscreen wipers as well in the ran.
The car locked and double locked ok, so at least it's secure. The technician is coming out tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully I can watch him get my car started.
So I would like to be able to get the car started myself if it ever happens again....so what would be the best Car Battery Power Booster Jump Starter pack?
Does anyone have one and can recommend one that will start a V8...I have heard that you need something quite strong to get the car started?

This one kick-started my old 5.3L V8 Virage volante after I left drained the battery in a fit of stupidity.....

The battery was not completely dead but certainly insufficient to fire the engine and the booster got it first time.

Good recommendation. My fairly newish Aldi sourced one died a while back and I hadn't got round to replacing it so just popped in an order for this one. Cheers!http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YDZR3ZI?psc=...

Ordered mine and got it today, also got a battery meter for plugging into the cigarette lighter too. The booster looks very nice, comes with a few cables for phone charging and charging the unit in the cigarette lighter! Also has multiple heads for charging other items too. Nice case, ideal for storing behind my drivers seat for easy access, if required.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YDZR3ZI?psc=...

I would just like to say, that the young man that came out to me yesterday from Aston Assist, was great. He was very knowledgably about the car and Astons in general, which was nice to see. He got my car started and gave me some good battery charging/monitoring advice. He also checked my battery completely and stated that everything was ok with it. In fact he said that the battery was completely holding the charge and there was nothing wrong with the battery, it just looked like the car hadn't been used, that is why the battery went flat!!(eerm, oh yes that will be the dealer, who had my car!) The fact that it is a good battery, its not bad for a battery made in 2006, my original battery! I also showed him what I intended to purchase, and he said it should be ok.
If/when my car goes back to the dealer for any work (ang on, it is in January), I will be stressing to them that they need to check the battery before they send it back, not like just recently, had the car for 3 weeks, did the work, sent it back, battery dead inside 5 days, hence Aston Assist.
The booster is a little insurance policy, just in case. I hope I never have to use it, but at least I will have it and won't have to call Aston Assist out for such a mundane issue, that could have been avoided!
