Cayenne using oil

I have a 2012 Cayenne 3l diesel which seems to use a bit of oil, it has 45,000 miles and seems to need a top up every 7,000 miles. Is this normal? It's got Mobil 1 in.

A topping up -- how much oil does it take to top up? -- every 7K miles ain't bad. My two sports cars use about 1 quart per 5K miles.

What does the owners manual have to say about oil consumption? What's the limit? For the sports cars it can be IIRC 1 liter per 600 miles or thereabouts.
