Ok so I have picked injury with my running and to help gain weigbt and diabetes I have now adopted a high carb diet (biscuits, chocs, drinks) with a high fat (Mcds, KFC, Cake). Do you think this will help me feel less miserable?

Could anyone recommend the best way to start hitting high BMI. I am looking to try and increase my chances of a heart attack please.

A smart person would accept they're injured because they've overdone it and not let the injury affect them emotionally.

There is a theory that suggests sport injuries are dealt with by the individual in 5 stages: Denial and Isolation, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. Another (3 stage this time!) theory suggests you'll recover quickest if you tackle these responses - cognition, emotion and behaviour - separately and positively. Good luck and sorry for the geeky stuff.

I feel your pain. I have strained my calf and have tried to run on it too soon, on a number of occasions (I'm now intending to give it a few weeks).

I then strained my shoulder possibly from lifting a weighted pack one handed to use for calf raises.

I decided to more yoga and strength work whilst resting from running and earlier today managed to strain my lower back fairly painfully whilst doing a forward bend (a movement I have done many times in the past and I had warmed up). It is now sore and lifting and sitting are very uncomfortable. Hopefully cycling will still be ok.

I am resisting eating too much to prevent piling on the kilos.
