Stick with 997 Gen 2 C2S or Go For 981 Boxster Spyder.

What shall I do folks?
I have only had my late 2009 997 Gen 2 C2S PDK for ten months & love it. It's my 4th Porsche & daily drive to my short journey to work. There is really nothing I dislike about it.
I would only consider changing for something special - but not crazy GT3 prices. I would quite like my next Porsche to be more driver focused - buckets, manual, sports suspension, sports exhaust etc. That's everything I don't have on the 997. I have a 50:50 chance of a 981 Spyder - a wobbly customer may drop out & I could possibly step in to take his order. But would need to do a LOI deposit. I suppose it could also be a ruse by the OPC to get my LOI deposit. It's a tricky one as I'am not unhappy with the 997. Also, I don't know how the hell I would cough up £65K - would probably have to be on finance. I haven't even driven one. Think the Spyder will be a classic & should retain residuals. Thoughts PH'ers.

Can't really believe there are any Spyders left as each OPC received up to 3 only and whilst not as many loi s as for GT4 they were understandably massively oversubscribed.
Spyder is an absolute hoot to drive and in the real world is as rapid as a GT4 despite the lack of GT3 front chassis. As a driving experience it is more visceral, and imo it sounds better than the GT4. In some ways it is more usable too....front splitter higher than the GT4. Only downside is the amount of attention it receives....more than a GT3......imo that is bad although some will think its good!
The other point with the Spyder is unlike the GT4 and GT3 which will remain normally aspirated for some time to come, the next Spyder, if there is one will probably be a turbo so the current 981will be last of a line. A genuine future classic with guaranteed top residuals if ever there was one.
If you get an allocation, you are very lucky..... go for it!
