Hi folks,

I'm currently in the process of speccing a modest home gym and want to include dip bars. I've got my eye on these:

http://gymcor.co.uk/content/no-limits-dip-bars

I need to ensure the builder places noggins / battens in the right places so have been looking at spacing. From what I can gather, people go narrow for tri's and wider for chest, but is there an omptimum / best compromise to hit both as the bars will be fixed? I'm 5'11" if that helps.

Many thanks

My last gym had them but don't know how prevalent they are, they had rotating handles that flip through 180 degrees giving you wide, less wide, and narrow options.

The best dip bars I've seen were set at an angle so you could shuffle backwards/forwards to get the spacing you wanted. Might be an idea?

Just wider than shoulder width. Which muscle you hit isn't dependent on width of bar - stay vertical it's more triceps, lean forward it's more pecs and front delts.
