No sorry, can't help. Are you asking because you have? Good luck with recovery if you have, and don't rush it, I'd be gutted.

My sympathy.

Presumably a heavy weight...what happened?

I failed to make a rep, and instead of doing what I normally do, allow the bar back down and then let the weights slide off (no collars) I tried to rack because I was in a different rack to my normal on with low pins, I misjudged and missed and the bar hit me on my chest.

Jesus.

The tear isn't confirmed yet though?

Had the scan explained to me today. 50/50 tendon tear, saw the knee guy today (I've really had to push to even get to the fracture clinic), I'll see the shoulder guy next week. The scan can over/under-estmate, so I'm still floating in uncertainty until I chat to the shoulder guy and I'll know if I get an op or not.

Ah, forgive the levity - I was wondering how the hell you'd hurt your knee whilst pressing!

Main thing is to wait until you get confirmation of the nature of the injury - then plan your rehabilitation. A pec tear is not the end of the world.
