Although no-one ever says thanks for posting money saving posts, I'm still going to tell you about this. tongue out

Instant Pot Lux60 6-in-1 Programmable Electric Pressure Cooker with Stainless Steel Cooking Pot, 6 Litre http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0073GIN08?ref_...

I have not got one of these appliances but have only ever heard good things about them , mainly on here.

Deal of the Day on Amazon is this seemingly mega versatile machine reduced from £150 to £80. Probably never been £150 but definitely a deal at £80.

Actually they are great for doing ribs quickly... I put a couple of racks in there with a bit of water at the bottom and pressure cook for about 10 mins, then take them out, glaze with BBQ sauce and put under the grill to finish them off. Perfect, falling off the bone, sticky ribs in about 20 mins smile

Original thread about it on PH is herewink

Normally they go for £100 - as I was a long time watcher until they apepared in the Amazon Black Friday sale week as a daily deal at £74, so not much less.

I am sure they are but we prefer the long n slow smoke on a Weber Smokey Moutain for 4-5 hours and 12-15 hours for a Boston Butt.

I am sure they make great ribs but this is just the BBQ snob in me talking :-)

Cook on!

I totally agree, long slow smoking is best. But when you don't have the time or just can't be arsed, this is a damn good alternative smile
