Upgrading Golf MK7 headlights
Discussion
Has anyone upgraded the headlights on their standard MK7? I've got a 1.4TSI ACT and of late I'm beginning to think they're pretty poor.
Initially I was simply thinking of upgrading the bulbs to for example Osram nightbreakers, but a mate's suggested it won't make much difference from his experience. Problem is it's a company car so I don't really want to do anything too permanent, as I have on other cars.
Cheers

Funnily enough I upgraded the dipped beam bulbs on my Mark 6 Golf yesterday. I thought the original bulbs were woeful but then it dawned on me that this is the first car I've had in years that hasn't had xenons!
I ordered some Philips 12972XV+S2 X-tremeVision Car Headlight Bulb, H7 12V, 55W Halogen from Amazon that were on offer yesterday for £15.97. Apart from requiring hands the size of a small child's to get the old bulbs out and the new bulbs in, they were easy to fit and look considerably brighter (in the garage with the doors shut) than the OEM bulbs I took out. They are supposedly 130% brighter and cast light an additional 45m down the road than the originals, but that's not saying a great deal
