I currently drive a lotus Evora s and there are 3 of us and it works very well. We both want another nipper and then the lotus becomes unusable. When I am in and comfy there is no way even a child can fit behind me. My daughter will be 4 ish when th next one arrives and would need to go behind me.

Anyone driving a 991 with kids behind them with the driver being over 6 foot?

I have the same question, and whether there is a real difference in the rear vs, say, a 997? Assume there is as wheelbase longer in 991, also looks like there is visually. But haven't tried squeezing my lad in the back of either yet.....

I am 6 foot 2 and have my two boys in the back seat in a 997.2 GTS. The older one (4) sits on a booster behind me while the younger sits in a bigger baby seat.

So the 991 should be no problem at all! smile

Assume seat back and bottom pas are removed?

I am looking at alternative less bulky seats for my Evora. Currently I have the recaro Young sport but the recaro Milano looks to be 6cm's more shallow.

I'm going to include a smiley, just to prove I'm not evil...

Trying to justify your not evil by attempting to add a smiley, just proves your evil in disguise rofl

yes four up in a 991 (Turbo S in my case) is feasible..I am 6'2" and my "tall for age 12yo son" can fit behind...

for how long in comfort is a different q...30 minutes manageable...hour tops...beyond that..and your quality of life will be dissolved..

have run my daughter and son in the rear seats of 911's (996.2/997.2/991.1) since they were old enough to face forward..

is part of why a 911 is a real 2+2.

I just bought a recaro Milano for my Evora and it has given me 5 inches more leg room!!!!! The joy of not needing a group 1 car seat. I could now fit 2 kids in the back of my Evora.

Milano seat behind my chair.

Behind my wife who is 5 foot 7.

Just need to extend the carpet in the rear now. I'll be sticking with my lotus for he forseable future.

I'm 6'2" and I still do the school run from time to time in my 997.2 C2S with an 11 yo (5') and an 8 yo in the back. Front passenger is 14 yo so the seat is slightly forwards to accomodate the older child in the rear. It's beginning to get a bit marginal in the back but no complaints over a trip that can take 30 mins.

The boot can accomodate two large sports kits bags and their rucksacks, we do get some funny looks at the school sometimes when 3 decent sized children and all their kit somehow emanate from a sports car! All in all the 911 is amazingly versatile.

As the 997 has a bit more space it should work just as well for you. Oh - I used to have the Porsche child seat in the rear as well (which reminds me, must put it on ebay).
