Hi, I am probably completely wrong but are the front indicator lenses on mk1 Cerberas the same as Landrover Defender ones and reverse lights for clear ones. If they are not does anyone one have any alternative ideas. I'm sick of looking at the same 2 TVR sites for parts at pathetic prices. Cheers. Oh and merry Christmas everyone.

They come up on Feabay from time to time, do a search for 'Sankey Trailer' lights.
I've seen them go for silly prices, so bide your time.

Hi, thanks for that. I think I've found a pair of clear ones, not sure of exact size but look about right. £15 for pair inc postage, a quarter the price of the usual suspects, cheers.

I've just gone through this. The individual rear pod type lights are the same as those used on military land rovers and can be obtained from John Craddocks amongst others. The only issue with the clear lenses is that they will most likely come without an internal reflector. There are threads on here which confirm this and that they will still pass an MOT, but it must detract from the overall functionality.

The rubber boots seem to be a trimmed down Lucas L488 with the corresponding bulb holder (either single or dual switch). I am going to see how the slightly longer waterproof military boots fit.

There also seem to be some units which are painted/powder coated black, whilst the majority are an electro plated yellow colour. I am currently in the process of spraying the bezels on my units black.

Cheers for the help everyone, all sorted now. 2 new clear ones still boxed for £13.20, bargain.

Did you manage to get them with reflectors?

Don't come with reflectors but the old ones are fine so I'll try and use them again. The old ones are OK but I'm getting a respray and so I thought I might as well replace all lenses front and back.

Unfortunately you can't remove the reflectors from the originals without destroying them. But the new ones must be good enough without them as that's what everyone is selling.

It might be that mine are different to Revvit's but I managed to remove and refit the reflectors into my new clear lenses.

Hold the body of the indicator lightly in a vice and slowly prize (with a flat bladed screwdriver or similar) the metal body away from the lens by going all round the circumference little by little. Once you've been round a few times you should be able to push to lens out followed by the reflector. Do the same on your new ones but being very careful not to damage the seal. Once the lens is out fit the reflector and refit the lens and then the seal. Then you have to carefully 'swage' the metal body by repeatedly tapping it with a small body hammer or similar. Keep going round the circumference until the metal body has a firm grip on the seal/lens. Patience and care is the key but it is doable. The swage will never be perfect but will be good enough especially if a decent bead of sikaflex is applied when fitting them back into the body aperture.

Cheers
