Speaking to someone the other day who had chrome sleeves fitted to the ends of his exhausts of his Wedge, has anyone done this on an S?
Apparently he went to a metal fabricators who made the sleeves from sheet metal, then he took them to get chromed, he then went back and had them welded on
Sounds a good idea to smarten up the back?

When I bought my V8S the previous owner had done exactly the same thing. I think they looked wicked, I have now had a SS exhaust, which I don't think looks as good.

I have some Chrome sleeves on the end of my exhaust, I think they were an option on most of the V8 cars?

Got a pair of chrome end sleeves a while ago for my S3, only the garage I ordered them from got me V8 ones instead. Then had a sports exhaust fitted which is same diameter as V8S but stick out too far when on.

Hoping to get a V8 this year just so's I can use the sleeves

I don't think joolz tail pipes are just sleeves, look like silencers to me and very nice too. I'm looking for a pair of tail silencers myself now to quieten my system down a bit.

For I think it was about £4 each I bought two sleeves that fitted exactly over the existing exhaust pipes, the fit was so snug it was hardly necessary to tighten the grub fixing screws they came with. Each sleeve was about 9" long and had neatly finished rolled over ends. From any high street factor you should be able to get them for around that price.
As I can't attach a picture I have e mailed one.

Think they are the same sort I had for my S3 before getting the V8 style exhaust. You can get them from Halfords.

The sleeves that I have don't roll inwards at the end, they need to be screwed in but look like the original exhaust ends with I guess a 20 degree angle cut.
