So Ive been to some places were they actually like to drink lager with ice. I actually think its a good idea. But cider with ice am not so sure.

For me its like this:

Lager - Ice
Cider - No ice
Whisky - No ice
Rum - Ice
Vodka - Ice
Gin - Ice
Brandy - Ice
Sake - Hell no

The Magners style ciders are excellent with ice in the summer, more so than lager anyway - that stuff is watered down enough already!

Cider with ice is nice in the summer.

Spirits should always be drunk without ice - you either want to savour the flavour or you intend getting stfaced, either way chilling and diluting it is inappropriate.

Can't beat a long tall G&T with plenty of ice.

Why would you put ice with Brandy but not scotch?

I sometimes wonder what it takes in someone's life for them to believe, 100% , that the way they do things is the only acceptable way.

People are all different , and they all taste things differently and all enjoy things differently.

You might do well to remember that.

I guess the Brandy that I have tried (only a few) haven't been the best. I guess the ice helped it go down easier. It might be different with some quality Brandy though.

Cider with ice is evidence that we are approaching the End Times.

Seriously, repent people!

I must admit a Strongbow with some ice can be a good thing on a hot summers day.

I quite like ice with most things, Bulmers, G&T, vodka and tonic, etc.

But I've never, ever heard of lager with ice!!

Ice with cooking whisky. Not with the good stuff. Not with brandy. But that's just me. Put it in whatever you like, and if anyone pulls a face tell them to keep their nose out!

I don't like gin, but the only drink that it's acceptable to add ice to is G&T.
Nothing else. Ever.

Vodka, kept in the freezer and drunk neat, yes. No ice. No mixer.

Lager? Lager with ice? FFS man that's worse than cider (with ice or without).
Just order a bloody cocktail if you want ice you screaming queen.

Jagermeister is intended to be drunk straight from the freezer and as such does not require ice.
