now i know this will seem a daft question to many, but can someone explain how frequencies are managed on rc cars?

if i bought an rtr tamiya wild willy 2, it would be on 2.4ghz? if it was next yo another one, how do you prevent interference? do you modify the freq slightly, are they coded, or what?

very simply explanation very much appreciated

ps merry christmas!

You can run about 70 2.4Ghz transmitters at the same time as each one binds with it's receiver and locks onto the channel and stops other transmitters using it. All other transmoitters will then take the next available frequency and bind to the that

thanks, also read up on spread spectrum and freq hopping tech.

looks like spread spectrum tech will prob be fitted on any tamiya kit rtr i could e.g. from wonderland models. quite fancy the rtr wild willy 2 they have at £149, but looks like they are out of stock at moment
