has anyone ever sent/wrote one of these?

found a company using one of my photos and not sure on the next move, any pointer would be greatly appreciated

I've found just dropping them an email enquiring if they've got a licence for usage is sufficient in most cases.

Does dmca only apply to the U.S. and not UK ?

It depends what you'd like as a result and what they're prepared to offer.
For some people they want the photo to stay, the company to pay an invoice and everyone's happy. Others just want them to not use the photo. Some want the photo gone and a payment for unauthorised use.

Options 1 and 2 can be done fairly quickly and if reasonable, everyone can move on. Option 3 is tricky and probably won't go anywhere quick

Decide what you want to happen and make contact with some screenshots, give it a few days for a response and make a second contact from there. If nothing comes of it, then go to the hosting company
