Hallo,
I rebuilt My Ultima Engine, but was unfortunately not always present.
Now is found out, that I have two sensor rings for the speedometer.
One with a lot of spikes and one with few.
And i don' t know where to put them exactly!!

Typically the one with the fewer spikes will be speedo, the other with many spikes would normally be for a traction control sensor.

Thanks for your answer.
Thought that i switched the sensor rings, because the speedometer isn't working yet.
Best regards

The distance from the ring to the sensor has to be just right for it to work.

1mm or less, as long as it doesn't touch. I use a feeler gauge to set it.

Do you have a sensor on both sides? If so a picture of the other sensor may help.

The one with 6 teeth is the speedo and the sensor in your picture is not the same as my speedo sensor.

The other ring may be for a road speed input to an engine ECU which requires more pulses per mile.

The Sensor ring has a distance of 0,5 mm
Maybee i should mention, that the rev counter also doesn' t work.
Could it be a problem from the ecu?

I would check your wiring.

The instruments were in full working order when you stripped the box out? If you have changed nothing then it should be a wiring glitch.

Dear Steve,
the original Ultima plan shows a black and white cable to the speed sensor,
but now i have a white/purple and green cable.
Does that mean that the new wiring runs to the controller and not to the speedo??
