If Tvr came back with a great product then that can only be good for the value of anything Tvr related,
If it's a big mis match and as dis organised as one fears when it comes to Tvr Then it'll add even more value as our cars will be the last of a very special breed,, I think it's still another 10 years off before people realise just what you get with a sorted Tvr, it's ironic as it's the owners like us who cherish and develope the cars to a proper high standard that's actually the only thing keeping Tvr alive,, and giving the mark a better reputation,, as fewer Tvr's exist it'll only be the sorted and cared for cars that will enter the market, as more and more owners combat the inherent issues and upgrade the electrics and fuelling systems, remove alarm and chassis issues, etc the cars still available will be far better cars than the ones that left the factory,,
But I still say the value is not in the finantual gains,, cos there ain't none,, but in owning something so unique, rare, and very special,, that costs peanuts compared to anything else with similar power to weight ratio,,, Tvr's Rock

Hi all.
Just a thought about our cars......
Like most of us it's nice to think that our cars will appreciate in value but I can't help feeling that sometimes we are missing the point.
Any TVR is basically an old fashioned car that will require costly maintenance during it's life and as most are now approaching 20 years old it can only be expected. If this is factored into the cost of ownership it will reduce or outweigh the appreciation in value.
The point of a TVR is however that it should be enjoyed and that is what they were designed for and most of the original buyers (certainly with the older ones) bought them with that in mind, and also for the privilege of owning a handmade British sports car.
Relatively speaking our cars are cheap and offer great value for money compared to something of comparable performance and they are individual too. Should the prices rise too much us ordinary folk couldn't afford them anyway!
To quote Oscar Wilde, "Too many people know the cost of everything and the value of nothing." Let's hope we all know the value of our cars and that it isn't all about the cost of them!
Regards Chris.
