battery flat and other things.....

List of problems (dont know if related but list them them any way)

100amp fuse went, fixed
Next day battery flat so charged all ok. Next day stopped again because the fuel pump relay broken. Fixed that.

Went out for a 40 mile drive around Sunday afternoon, idle was odd and stalled a few time, (in process of cleaning stepper motor)
Went to start her Tuesday afternoon, battery flat again (nothing at all not even enough to get in the doors), back on charge.

Have checked the alternator when she was running, that is supplying the correct power to charge battery.

Comments please...... is the battery knackered or could it be the Sigma alarm system is flattening the battery (the alarm was new in about 3 months ago)

I need help, she broken down 5 times now over the last week. I know its a tiv and these things happen but its bl**dy frustrating

A couple of Possibilities..

the battery is on its way out and wont hold a charge.. totally unrelated to other items.

or..

Wrong relay leading to battery drain (see the thread "Fuel Pump experience to share")

have charged battery and taken out the new relay (non bosch) to see if the battery is flat in morning. If not I will order up 2 new bosch relays

battery not flat today after taking out the relay, so will get 2 bosch 30amp relays and try again.

Why 2..?

because the one for the fuel pump when openned was water damaged, and corroded inside, the ECU one is also a 30 amp relay so thought it wise to replace both for peace of mind, I can keep the original ECU one as a spare then.
