Gaming consoles

Who has one and how old are you.
Im tempted to buy a ps4, ive not played games for years though and used to get bored playing them when i last had a console 5 years ago.
Im going into this purchase a bit blindly as i dont know if ill end up in the same predicament but im sure gaming has changed a bit in the last 5 years? I used to have a xbox 360.

If you used to get bored, chances are you still will as it's essentially the same formula just with shinier graphics.
38 here, have a PS3 & 4 but also have a 10 year old son so he plays them more than me. I'm the same as you really, loved gaming when younger but get bored too quickly now.

I bought a 360 years ago. Still had a dozen games unopened when I gave the lot to my nephew.
Problem is when you get older you're s
te at gaming and will have you r ass whooped by 12 year olds. Plus with all the fancy graphics I like taking scenes slowly to take in all the detail which doesn't always work when being targetted by the enemy.
Still looking at a XBOne though.

33 and have a 360 and a recently acquired Xbox one, and a Super Nintendo wired up too. My old neighbour gave me her late partner's collection to sell, which has 3 megadrives, a PS1 (all boxed) a NES (All boxed) and a Megadrive II boxed as well. In the new year I will be shifting all of them, but the SNES and one unboxed NES I shall keep for nostalgia gaming. I do still enjoy gaming.

I'm 32 and have an N64. Keep it for the social game playing aspect. Multiplayer Mariokart and Goldeneye FTW.
I do a bit of retro gaming as well I find it's easier to get into if you only have a small amount of time. I've been playing my Megadrive way more than my PS4 and I can't even remember when I last played my PS3.The best bit about the older stuff is not just the ease of interaction and nostalgia but if they are well taken care of they'll only increase in value!
Oh and I'm 28.
48 years old and Xbox360 - wanted an Xbox One for two Christmasses - not happened.
I liove Forza Motorsport and I'm pretty good, but my favourites are FPS, prestige X a few times on Call of Duty Black Ops (favourite was COD 3) until Battlefield 3 came along - it's far better as the pace is slower and more realistic with a wait between respawns; it's more tactical. This seems to put off the fizzy drink fuelled twelve year olds who jump up and down and just randomly spray bullets, so the game is far better for it.

I'm 41 and have all but the Nintendo consoles, still play them more that watching TV, there are some superb games if you have the time to spend on them.
I'd go with the PS4 of the new units as it has a more broad range of games, I just bought a mate an Xbox one for Christmas (also 41) he's more Xbox games focused though, I'd recommend GTA V or Fallout 4 for a bit of long term emersion.

32 and I have a PS4 (1 year) and 360 (countless years); I'm more of a casual gamer - play a few hours a week maybe, but only ever play single-player/offline - can't be done with online gaming. I will say that I've used my PS4 for YouTube/iplayer etc a lot more than I thought, mind due it is the only smart machine I have in my equipment that's connected to my projector.
