My Xmas tradition.

After the tribe has departed Boxing Day evening, I fight off the cat for the turkey carcass. Strip it of meat, pile all the bits into a gallon size pot and simmer for a couple of hours.

Strain off the rubbish add the meat and all the left over veg, pearl barley, lentils and mushrooms and simmer.

Add a smidgen of cornflower for thickening. SWMBO makes some dumplings.

Keeps me alive for a couple of days. Nom, nom.
