Channel tunnel coquelles alarm noise??

In the run up to Christmas I travelled on euro tunnel freight several times, every time I arrived or departed France there was a strange alarm sounding which I think was coming from outside of the train.
It was usually a late night/early hours departure or arrival and I couldn't see any sign of immigrants causing bother. Could someone please enlighten me as to what it was as Google hasn't helped so far, also it didn't strike me as a fire alarm type sound more a constant warbling if that's any help!
