Hi all

I hope you've all had a great Christmas.xmasbeer

Looking to replace the clutch on the Tamora whilst it's SORN'D I'm assuming it's a pretty straight forward clutch swap as any vehicle with a hydraulic clutch I've had a look in Varleyd book and it seems straight forward but lacks a bit of detail as ever but I was just wondering if you guys who have actually replaced their clutch if there's any tips or suggestions that would be helpful ? The cars up in the air, exhaust off, prop disconnected and now ready to go....

Cheers,

Buzz

Disconnect the reverse switch, and shifter mechanism (tied mine up to the rear view mirror) and remove the box. Remove the hydraulic feeds and from memory I seem to remember removing the bleed line only from the mount in the engine bay before the removing the bell housing.

Remove the clutch pack and inspect the flywheel see if the clutch has been rotated previously. Personally I'd buy the correct clutch alignment tool when you go to refit.

Thanks Matt I've seen the alignment tool on the Racetech site for £11.95 or something...

Hi Gents...

Clean the splined shaft, very good! (Steelbrush)
it is much easier then to set the gearbox on.

I think it is worth to consider buy a new slave cylinder

i did it ... 2 Years ago and changed the SlaveCylinder, too!angel

all the best ttc
